TRIANGLE is a video work done for the book 'Black Material' which showcases Robert Knoke's artwork.
Curator Jens Karlson asked me to make a short animation and get Robert Knoke's black and white artwork as base for video. I chosed to create tense harmony between geometrical forms and organic movements. Combustion helped me to expand possibilites of Black material with his strong music and sound design.

Artificial Paradise, Inc is an experimental film anticipating a future where a major corporation has developed an unique software, based on organic virtual reality, which holds all the lost memories of humankind. A user connects to this database of the forgotten…what is he searching for?

“Locus” is an short experimental animated film that reflects the way that I see things. I have always perceived the world not as a photographic reality, but rather as lines that outline physical shapes. Because of this, as a designer, I am fascinated with how a single simple element like a line can express so many different things, and how collections of lines can create shapes, forms and beautiful motions. Locus shows moments of motion that convey this vision.

This project explores the invisible terrain of WiFi networks in urban spaces by light painting signal strength in long-exposure photographs.
A four-metre long measuring rod with 80 points of light reveals cross-sections through WiFi networks using a photographic technique called light-painting.

SONGDO

ANTI VJ- an audiovisual performance, August 2009
New Songdo city, South Korea.

"How it would be, if a house was dreaming"

The conception of this project consistently derives from its underlying architecture - the theoretic conception and visual pattern of the Hamburg Kunsthalle. The Basic idea of narration was to dissolve and break through the strict architecture of O. M. Ungers "Galerie der Gegenwart". Resultant permeabilty of the solid facade uncovers different interpretations of conception, geometry and aesthetics expressed through graphics and movement. A situation of reflexivity evolves - describing the constitution and spacious perception of this location by means of the building itself. Production: urbanscreen.com

SCINTILLATION

This is an experimental film made up of over 35,000 photographs. It combines an innovative mix of stop motion and live projection mapping techniques.

Telenoika Audiovisual Mapping

Created by Telenoika, this performance is a tour de force of established projection mapping techniques and styles: Virtual lighting, 3D augmentation and distortion, edge highlighting and surface painting.

Mixed with lovely sound design, they’ve also added some nice new touches: The “light bulb generation” at 4:12 is lovely, as is the subsequent thunderstorm and electrocution of the building.

Path To Abstraction

Path To Abstraction is project that explores the relationships between sound and image, inspired by the true representation of sound itself: the waveform. It consists of a continuous visual stream that retains the precise behavior of a waveform, while interpreting the music in a very unique
and personal way.
